I do not think ANY BIBLE SOFTWARE out there is so powerful. You can search for Greek or Hebrew words translated as a particular word, kurios as "lord", or kurios not translated as "lord". The boolean search operators of tw are fantastic. You can even set a dictionary module to pop up definitions of any Bible word, and when you pass the mouse over words in a tw Bible window over individual words, they will pop up. You can copy Bible references in any Windows app, and if theWord is running, it will popup the references and the verses written out. Moreover, the flexibility you have with theWord is unparalleled. If you really want to study the Bible, use theWord. If you just want to read the Bible, (which why not use a pdf?) then e-Sword is fine. In general e-Sword is a very basic, non-powerful version of Bible software. I have not seen any other Bible software that can do that. It is like each one is a different book, and you are doing a regular word or phrase search on those books. With it you can search for words across various versions of the Bible at one time. If you are a really serious Bible student, you cannot get a better Bible software program (free or commercial) than theWord. I continue to develop more modules for it. TheWord on the other hand is an extremely powerful program beating out many commercial Bible programs.

Being able to manipulate the inner windows or panels is difficult or impossible with e-Sword. e-Sword has a more older database type function and feel.

I was in the early stages of e-Sword and developed probably 2000 free modules for it before I turned to theWord.
